CK Great Tonbridge Cake-Off! Yes, this weekend is the bank holiday weekend and it’s the Tonbridge Food and Drink Festival. If you haven’t been before it’s FREE, it’s on the Castle Lawn and there are lots of food and drink stalls selling lots of lovely produce. This was when I first arrived – look at the weather, looks like it’ll be a scorcher this year too!
Anyway, the reference to GBBO is that there is a Cake-Off this year again on both Saturday and Sunday and yours truly will be a judge on Sunday – I’m very excited!
To enter, all you need to do is:
- Bake a cake yourself and decorate it
- Deliver it to the main stage by 1pm on day of entry
Simples! There are three age ranges – 5-11yrs; 12-15 yrs; 16 and over and we’d like just one cake per family please! Judging takes place at 2.30pm on both days.
So as Mel and Sue, and Neil and Sandi say, “Bake!” and I’ll look forward to eating some of them on Sunday!
