It’s bonkers to think that five weeks ago, life was completely different. The coronavirus was approaching but we weren’t in lockdown and we could still go out for lunch! I was kindly invited to eat at Ferah, the Turkish restaurant on the site that was Shamo’s and then Portuguese restaurant, Garfo Douro and then another Turkish restaurant, Cappadocia! It’s on Avebury Avenue near Tonbridge library and importantly, it’s still doing delivery and takeaway during lockdown.

Tonbridge High Street never sits still, does it? It seems as though it’s constantly evolving which is great for us and great for Tonbridge as a whole. I want to focus on one place which is perhaps the most recent to start to shake up its space and that’s Tailor Made Wine Library.
Havet, Tonbridge, 15 November 2018
This is quite exciting! Havet is the first place that I am returning to as Eat Around Tonbridge….I know there are still some places that I haven’t reviewed but I’m a little proud that the blog has survived this long and I’m now returning to places. Once again, Havet kindly invited me so they generously paid for our meal – just for the record that doesn’t mean I’m biased towards them but I have to let you know.

Havet arrived in Tonbridge this year and it has taken the High Street by storm…it is always busy and deservedly so: the food and service is excellent and the atmosphere always buzzing. Read my review from earlier in the year here. Havet has kindly offered a voucher for £35 to a lucky winner. If you’d like to use it over the festive period, they are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day with 6pm being the last booking time on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
