Eat Around Tonbridge is supporting these awards again this year after the bumper haul Tonbridge managed last year! You have to give yourselves a pat on the back – you nominated in droves and as a result …
Sulston’s Kitchen won newcomer of the year;
Finch House won Cafe of the Year, up against our very own The Bakehouse at 124 and
Ian Chatfield Butchers was a finalist in the Independent Food and Drink Retailer of the Year category.
It would be fantastic if we could improve upon this in 2017 but that means that we all need to nominate and write a couple of lines about why we’re nominating – that bit is really important.
The categories are:
Family Dining Award – ***new for this year*** – the description for this award is somewhere that keeps children happy as well as grown-ups; offering tasty nutritious food as well as facilities to keep the children entertained.
Food & Drink Hero of the Year – feel free to nominate Eat Around Tonbridge!
Newcomer of the Year – we have some great contenders, watch out for a future post! If you’ve already started thinking – the newcomer needs to have opened in the last 18 months.
Farm shop of the Year (look out for part 2 of Meet the Ryneharts soon!)
Pub of the Year – so many to choose from round here!
Independent Cafe / Tea Room of the Year – would be great to win this category again, especially as we have such a great cafe culture in Tonbridge.
