Oh no you haven’t ….left it too late to book a Christmas party! I have done the hard work for you, finding venues around Tonbridge that still have availability for a Christmas shindig, family gathering, work night out, NCT gathering … who needs an excuse?! It’s Christmas!
It is seven weeks until Christmas Day and although we might feel as though autumn has just begun, it won’t be long before our High Streets are adorned with twinkling Christmas lights and festive decorations (let’s face it, the Christmas cards are already out in the shops!).
Christmas is eight weeks on Wednesday. Hopefully that isn’t too much of a shock but if you’re struggling with gifts for that tricky relative or friend then this blog might just help you out.
Tonbridge High Street never sits still, does it? It seems as though it’s constantly evolving which is great for us and great for Tonbridge as a whole. I want to focus on one place which is perhaps the most recent to start to shake up its space and that’s Tailor Made Wine Library.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could have a guide to restaurants when you go somewhere new from someone you trust? I can’t do that for everywhere on the planet (open to offers though!) but I reckon I know a fair bit about Vilamoura and Quarteira on the Algarve in southern Portugal.
I know you love these posts so let’s get stuck in!
Now, I appreciate making and eating curry may be the furthest thing from your minds given the tropical heat wave that we’re experiencing, but given that Sana from Masala Pantry is taking bookings for September and into autumn she’s so busy, you don’t need to worry.
Seriously, not another bag of Monster Munch?…
Anything for a quiet life.
That’s because you didn’t eat any of the lunch you ordered…
We’ll get an ice cream later if you’re good…
What Eat Around Tonbridge did next – the original – was all about The Cook Book Sevenoaks Tonbridge Tunbridge Wells which I loved helping to create (books still available from some contributors – others have sold out!). So what am I up to now?
The 3rd edition of the Tonbridge Food and Drink Festival was a fantastic success. The sun was out most of the time, and the temperature was just perfect, not too cold, not too hot either. Great numbers of families gathered on the castle lawn to explore the numerous food and drink stalls that had been set up for the festival.
