Brunch. It’s the meal that’s been around for years but in 2019, the meal that lies somewhere between breakfast and lunch seems to be gaining in popularity. My timeline is full of posts from cafes and restaurants promoting their brunch offerings which seemingly can be enjoyed anytime – alongside the snack, this has to be one of the most versatile meals.

12 Days of Feastmas – an update!
December is nearly upon us and I’m going to run 12 Days of Feastmas again – whoop whoop I hear you shout! I know! I’m excited too! If you follow me on Instagram (@eat_tonbridge) you’ll know that I ran a poll on my stories a while ago about whether to run it in January instead of December – January is such a dull month for many of us that I thought it would be a great pick-me-up. But, the lovely team at Chasing Connor’s Cure are running a raffle in January and I didn’t want to get in the way of that – such a great charity and they all work really hard to raise funds to end Duchenne. So it’s happening in December.
The secret’s revealed!
If you follow me on Instagram (@eat_tonbridge) and have been observing my recent stories, you’ll know that I have been teasing you all about an exciting project which has involved some interesting meetings with local businesses. Well the wait is finally over and all can be revealed!
Why awards are so important!
I was a finalist in So magazine’s Lifestyle awards and it meant such a lot – it gave me a boost, made me feel valued by you all and also gave the blog and Tonbridge some extra exposure (thanks once again to everyone that nominated and voted for me). Awards are really important to all businesses – they are a pat on the back, a marketing opportunity and a chance for businesses, large and small, to really think about where they excel.
Merry Christmas Eat Around Tonbridge followers!
We’re approaching Christmas and the end of another year – it’s flown by hasn’t it! It’s been a great year for Tonbridge and the Eat Around Tonbridge blog.
Still a blog about food!
Kick Start has been set up by two personal trainers, Kieran Bhugobaun of Double A Fitness and Alex Rich of True Fit who’ve teamed up to create a 5 day plan which involves a personal training session every day for five days in the Carlson Gracie gym on Vale Road, Tonbridge plus breakfast and lunch from Sulston’s Kitchen. As the name suggests, the idea is to ‘kick start’ participants into exercise whilst providing healthy, nutritious, tasty food to keep you on the path to a fitter you.
7 weeks to go!
7 weeks to go until what I hear you ask? The start of the summer holidays? The end of the summer holidays? No, something very important for our High Street – the deadline for submission of your Kent Life and Kent on Sunday Food & Drink Award nomination!!!!
