Exciting news for Tonbridge! The Nelson Arms on the corner of Nelson Avenue & Cromer Street in the Barden Road area of Tonbridge has been bought by Matthew Rudd and Emma Cole of The Windmill in Weald. The Windmill is award winning and has a great reputation for its beer and food so it’s fantastic news that their expertise is coming to Tonbridge.

The Dovecote is hidden away on the road between Tudeley and Capel, almost blending into a row of cottages. Mr EAT and I had a date night and as I was willing to drive, we decided to try somewhere further afield, new to us and somewhere that I hadn’t heard any of you discuss. This very welcoming and homely pub was a pleasant surprise.

The Ryneharts are on a mission to shun supermarket food shopping and favour farm shops, feeding their family with seasonal, local produce.
